Research interests
Sustaining interdialytic exercise programs. A collaborative investigation with the Royal Adelaide Hospital and the Centre for Physical Health exploring strategies to maintain exercise programs for people with kidney disease on dialysis. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18298032
Nutritional screening for people on dialysis.This study will determine whether nutritional screening affects dialysis patient mortality and morbidity rates, quality of life and specific measures of patient’s nutritional status. Patient outcomes may be improved significantly with the implementation of nurse-performed nutritional screening tools. Australia and New Zealand Dialysis Workforce Study (ANZDWS). A Renal Society of Australsia commissioned study to explore the Australian and New Zealand Dialysis Workforce. The aim of the study is to make this data available to state workforce groups, clinicians, managers, organisations and governments and contribute to recruitment and retention of nephrology nurses.
